The Intelligent Community Forum declared Marlborough as one of the two most intelligent cities in the U.S. and top 21 worldwide for information and communications technology.
The Massachusetts Office of Housing and Economic Development has awarded a $2.7M MassWorks grant to pay for streetscape improvements. Watch the full announcement here.
Marlborough’s recent corporate arrivals have curbed the city’s unemployment rate. Since the summer of 2012, Marlborough has added 6,000 new jobs.
More than 350 job openings at 29 local companies were on offer at the fourth annual Marlborough Works! Job Fair held at the Courtyard by Marriott on October 27th.
Oyo Sports Toys, a toy manufacturer that plans to move to Marlborough and expand, got unanimous approval of a 10-year TIF application from the City Council Finance Committee.
Marlborough-based Boston Scientific has received a Food and Drug Administration approval for its unique drug-delivering and self-dissolving arterial stent.
Boston Scientific has seen a massive turnaround in the past three years, and its success is a potential boon to the dozens of other local companies and nonprofits with which it works.
The Marlborough Hills mixed-use development will soon be home to a new 10,000 SF day care center with playgrounds and classrooms that will house close to 180 children.
